MTG Swamp Thing card

Cool card, huh?  I've never it before five minutes ago.  I just discovered this on the web.  It looks like it could come in handy some day.  I like that it has both Swampwalk and Forestwalk and Shroud, as long as control the right lands.

Of course, it is reminiscent of 'Swamp Thing' from the comics, that's why it is cool.
It looks like a real Magic card, and not a fan-made card, so for now, I will assume it is a real card.

It reminds me to look up what I can about Swamp Thing.  Too bad I don't have those comics, I'd like to read them right now.

People ought to start photographing their comic books panel by panel and making videos of it, so people can at least see them.

Magic The Gathering cards as metaphors for your own life

Hi, I pretty much found this forest card randomly on the web.  I guess it is okay to post this on my blog and still have it monetized.
The image looks like it could be at a park or something.  I don't think I own this particular forest card.
I do love Magic The Gathering.  A lot of players get caught up in the mechanics of the game, and will talk rapidly about what cards will do what to what in combination with this, and this amount of damage will be done, and how to kill your opponent by turn 5, and so on and so forth, and that stuff bores the shit out of me.
What I'm interested in is the imagery and the words and how that relates to life in a metaphorical sense.  The guy who taught me the game understands this.  He gets it.  He's a musician, and we both play the game on one level as an idea generator.  The game gives us ideas for art and music and other creative stuff.  Hey, you get a picture, some flavor text, some mechanics, it's all there in a card that fits in the palm of your hand....that's what she said, I know.  Sometimes it is impossible to avoid the double-entendre.

Anyway, I guess I am tapping into forest energy today.  There are trees outside on the sidewalk.  I don't know what kind of trees they are.  One looks like an oak tree to me.  These trees were just released from their wooden training posts the other day, so they are free now, only restricted by the cement surrounding them.  One problem with trees in the city is when they get big enough, their roots can start cracking the foundations of buildings over time.  That is pretty amazing that a tree can crack cement if you give it enough time.

My middle name is Forrest, so I generally like anything to do with forests.  The energy of forests touches all living things.  We would not be here without trees and vegetation.  Certainly I wouldn't be able to drink coffee without forest energy.

My grandmother had a three acre lot in Hollywood, that had a nature trail going up the hill, with lots of trees, vegetation, and stones.  It was beautiful.
Those days are over, but that place is forever stuck in my memory, ingrained.

David's Forest

This blog will focus on things with Nature, and with Green Energy.  My middle name is Forrest, so this one will be personal.
     Ok, it's on!
